POMEGRANATE
INTRODUCTION:

TC Pomegranate Plants is native to the Middle East and South Asia. The Pomegranate Plant is one of the first live cultivated foods in the world. The Pomegranate Plant produces Pomegranate that is high in potassium, vitamin C and antioxidants. Pomegranate is a high value crop.


USES

Pomegranate contains higher levels of antioxidants than most other fruit juices. It also has three times more antioxidants than red wine and green tea. The antioxidants in pomegranate juice can help remove free radicals, protect cells from damage, and reduce inflammation.

CULTIVATION

Pomegranate (Panic granatum) is grown in tropical and subtropical regions of the world. The total area under cultivation of pomegranate in India is 107.00 thousand ha and production is around 743.00 thousand tons. Pomegranate is an important fruit crop grown in the dry regions of India. It is also cultivated to a large extent in the northern dry districts & states. This variety has good export potential. Major breakthroughs in the cultivation of pomegranate such as rest-ing period and pruning of plants and the use of plant hormones to obtain better fruit size have contributed in increasing the production of quality pomegranate fruits to meet the preference of consumers in the domestic and international markets.

SPECIES

Sindu variety of Pomegranate is a highly productive variety with large fruit size of distinct deep Saffron colour. Its arils are of deep red colour and enjoy very high market demand. This variety is very suitable for Exports as well.

Because the seed of a pomegranate is the edible part. Seedless fruits are not technically seed-less they just have under developed seeds. The pomegranates grown today have the largest seeds possible with the smallest "yolk" possible.

MARKETING

  4. The income expenditure indicated by the company is an approximated figure, as it also depends on the nature and hard work of the farmer.
TERMS AND CONDITIONS OF COMPANY
  1. For 1 Acre plantation the cost of Plants is Rs. 92,000/-, out of which 50% i.e. Rs. 46000/- has to be paid before the cultivation and the remaining half after the planting is done.
  2. The Buy Back Agreement Stamp paper of Rs.100/- has to be stamped by District Court of your area.
  3. For 10 Acre or more yield the buy Back Agreement Stamp Paper will be of Rs.500/-
